Little Explorers (Ages 3–5): We will use our senses to see the vibrant fall colors, smell the leaves and touch the trees. We will jump into a huge leaf pile and take home our favorite leaves to remember a great day!  Children, ages 3-5, must be accompanied by an adult.

About: This program is part of a series of nature activities are designed for 3-to-5-year-olds accompanied by an adult and for 6-to-8-year-olds. They encourage exploration, creativity and environmental awareness. They will enable youngsters to explore and celebrate butterflies, birds and other wildlife while helping nurture a love of nature and Wawapek.  As the Land Alliance’s Long Island Water Education Program instructor, Beth Finger educates elementary school students about the link between preserving land and protecting our water.  She also serves as Farm Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension, Suffolk County and Naturalist for BOCES.
