The annual Great Backyard Bird Count, now in its 26th year, is set to take place February 17th-20th. During this popular community science event, people from all over the world head outdoors to count birds. Scientists use the data to track the health of bird populations. Don your citizen scientist hat and join Gwen the weekend of the Great Backyard Bird Count to survey winter waterfowl in Cold Spring Harbor.

Online registration begins December 1st for this event.
This event is free, but advanced registration is required! Prior to the Walk, we will email you to confirm your attendance and provide you with more detailed information. Please remember, if you cannot attend a program you have registered for, please contact us so we may contact those on the waiting list.
