Featuring Peter Girard, C-Change Conversations and
formerly Communications Advisor at Climate Central

Stronger storms, heavier rainfall, and extreme heat are increasingly affecting communities across the North Shore and beyond. Yet conversations about climate change can still feel overwhelming, divisive or disconnected from local concerns.

On behalf of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, North Country Garden Club, and North Shore Land Alliance, join us tonight for an insightful presentation by Peter Girard on how climate change impacts not only the environment, but also human health, personal security, and economic and geopolitical stability. Drawing on regional examples, this program will connect global climate trends directly to the impacts already being felt in our local communities.

Climate change will not go away if we don’t continue to raise awareness and take action to remediate and abate its impacts. We hope this presentation inspires us all to join the conversation and protect our local environment.

This event is free, but advance registration is required.

Parking is available on site.  See map for details.
