Youth Nature Program: Leaf Scavenger Hunt

On the Humes Preserve, there are many different species of native and invasive trees that all play a key role in our ecosystems. On a scavenger hunt, young explorers (ages 7-12) will learn different identifiers for various tree species as we explore the meadow and the surrounding woods. Afterwards, we will trace the leaves we have collected on the scavenger and color them in so kids can identify the trees near their homes and favorite parks.
