Join us for the final artist in our photography exhibit, “Discover Nature Through a New Lens”. This is an invitation to experience the natural world from fresh and unexpected perspectives. Photographers offer a glimpse into nature’s quiet wonders: the glimmer in a drop of rain, the brilliance of a single leaf, the majesty of freshly fallen snow and the mystery of a shadow, encouraging us to slow down and look more closely at what surrounds us.

We’re proud to feature Conservation Associate and fungi enthusiast Carter Rogan, a Long Island native whose master’s degree from SUNY School of Environmental Science and Forestry deeply informs his work. Carter approaches each subject through an ecological lens, revealing not just its appearance but also its life history and environmental connections.

The Welcome Hut is located adjacent to the Humes Preserve parking area.
