Our volunteers are the backbone of the Land Alliance. Without them we simply would not be able to keep up with all the stewardship work that needs to get done. This year our volunteers have worked cumulatively more than 1,200 hours. They are some of the hardest working people we know, never shying away from a challenge. Whether it be hauling bamboo or removing hundreds of pounds of invasives from a pond or helping monitor preserve trails for damage, our volunteers do it all.
Come volunteer with North Shore Land Alliance!
Do you want to work outside, meet some cool people and learn about our natural world? Do you like to help others, help our wildlife and help our planet? Do you need community service hours or want to use your time in a meaningful way? If so, the Land Alliance is always looking for new volunteers. To learn more, visit www.northshorelandalliance.org/programs/volunteers-for-open-space/ and click the green Sign Up button or email [email protected]. Hope to see you soon!
Here are a few ways you can get involved with North Shore Land Alliance:
Preserve Stewardship: Remove invasive plants, plant native species, restore and maintain trails and gardens, mark property boundaries and help with other stewardship-oriented activities. Document the occurrence of flora and fauna at one or more of our preserves.
Education and Community Outreach:Â Encourage the next generation of conservation leaders by facilitating nature walks, field trips and educational activities to help children and adults gain a better understanding of and respect for the natural world.
Events and Administration: If you prefer to work indoors, we would appreciate your help in the office: word processing, filing, mailings or data entry.  We also rely on the wonderful support of volunteers to help plan, setup, run and break down our events.
Photographer/Videographer:Â We would love to have more beautiful photographs of our preserves and other natural areas and events for our publications and website.
