Using Nature Awareness Skills to Build a Stronger Sense of Belonging
Wednesday, April 10, 2024 | 5:30 pm
Education Annex, Humes Preserve
345 Oyster Bay Road, Mill Neck
Led by Dan Kriesberg and Camille Simone Edwards, Friends Academy
Join us for a walk through the Humes Preserve to practice the nature awareness skills of attentiveness, awe, pattern seeking and creativity. These skills strengthen our connections to wild nature and human communities. For each skill, participants will go through a series of hands-on outdoor activities and reflections. Everyone will take home a “tool-kit” they can use whenever and wherever they are in the outdoors.
