Born in Albertson and inspired by a lifelong love of art, Gary has been photographing the world around him for over 60 years. A minimalist at heart, he’s drawn to the quiet poetry of old estates being reclaimed by nature. Known as Gary Longshadow for his predawn photography, he prefers the stillness of the blue hour—when the world is hushed and bathed in a soft, ethereal light.
