Saturday, August 26, 2023, 10:00 am
Roosevelt Community Garden
59 E. Fulton Avenue, Roosevelt
Demonstration led by Master Gardeners Kathy Gaffney and Audrey Thomas, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County
After harvesting your heat-loving vegetables, it’s time to focus on planting your fall crops. Kathy and Audrey will discuss the ideal choices for mid-to-late summer planting, ensuring a fruitful fall harvest. Among the vegetables highly suitable for this season are broccoli, cauliflower, kale, lettuce, spinach, radishes, carrots, beets, and peas.
This is an excellent opportunity to ask question about your garden or plot. The Master Gardeners are available to offer valuable insights and advice to help you make the most of your gardening experience.
