Annual Stone Bridge Nighthawk Watch

2025 Walks in the Woods

Stone Bridge Nighthawk Watch
Saturday, September 13, 2025 – 5:30 pm
Stone Bridge, Setauket

Led by Naturalist John Turner
Co-listed with Four Harbors Audubon

Join Naturalist John Turner and Four Harbors Audubon during the 9th Annual Stone Bridge Nighthawk Watch during the birds’ fall migration to South American wintering grounds. The tallies that volunteers provide help increase the understanding of population trends of the Common Nighthawk, whose insect catching maneuvers during flight will fascinate observers. John will provide an overview of Common Nighthawk migration and identification, so participants have a better understanding about this species.

Online registration will be available as the event date approaches. Sign up for emails to stay updated and receive registration details as the event approaches.
