In celebration of International Coastal Clean Up Day, Nixon Peabody LLP came to Shore Road Sanctuary in Cold Spring Harbor to assist the North Shore Land Alliance stewardship team with a beach cleanup and cutting invasive Phragmites in the wet meadow. They collected six bags of trash from our shoreline that included plastic, glass, Styrofoam, metal pipes, rope and wooden fence posts. The trash was recorded and sent to a national database that tracks oceanic pollution.
Many thanks to Nixon Peabody for their hard work and for choosing the Land Alliance for their day of service.
