    Event Details Yoga in Nature Wednesday, June 12th, 9:00 AM Education Annex, Humes Preserve 349 Oyster Bay Road, Mill Neck Led by Heather Rubenstein, Certified Yoga Instructor Join us for our weekly yoga sessions to strengthen your body, relax your mind and connect with nature. Heather Rubenstein is a certified yoga instructor who blends Ashtanga, Yin and Katonah yoga with breathing and meditation to help her students feel grounded and joyful throughout their practice. Her yoga classes are carefully sequenced for all levels. Participants are asked to bring their own mats, a blanket, and any other props. Registration $25 Per Person, Per Class.  Space is limited.     Volunteer to Remove Mugwort, Humes Preserve

    Event Details Mugwort Management Volunteer Event Friday, June 21, 2024, 10:00 AM Humes Preserve (meet at the meadow steps) 349 Oyster Bay Road, Locust Valley The Humes Meadow is starting to grow which means the mugwort is growing too. Bring your weedwhacker and help cut back the mugwort!  Repeated cutting of mugwort can help weaken clumps over time and allow the native plants around it to compete. Before we go out into the meadow we can go over what mugwort looks like for anyone who doesn’t know, and how to avoid ticks while out in the tall grass.
