Using Nature Awareness Skills to Build a Stronger Sense of Belonging

Led by Dan Kriesberg and Camille Simone Edwards, Friends Academy

Join us for a walk through the Humes Preserve to practice the nature awareness skills of attentiveness, awe, pattern seeking and creativity. These skills strengthen our connections to wild nature and human communities. For each skill, participants will go through a series of hands-on outdoor activities and reflections. Everyone will take home a “tool-kit” they can use whenever and wherever they are in the outdoors.

Time outdoors gives young people numerous physical, emotional and social benefits, and it is fun!! Join us for a family walk through Humes Preserve. We will play, explore, and learn about this beautiful place along the way.
