Humes Japanese Stroll Garden during open hours and experience the calming and soothing sounds of the Shakuhachi played by Daniel Nyohaku Soergel. Registration Registration is not required for this event. Event Changes and Cancellations The John P. Humes Japanese Stroll Garden may be closed during severe weather conditions and events may be canceled or rescheduled.   Stay informed by visiting the Land Alliance website or Facebook page for updates.     Event Details Explore the Plants and Habitats at Jones Beach Saturday, March 9, 2024, 2:00 pm Jones Beach, Wantagh Led by Peter Martin We will explore the variety of habitats like ocean, bay and dunes and the birds and possibly seals that occupy them in winter. We will also get a winter view of the Jones Beach Energy and Nature Center’s surrounding landscape of native plants that filters stormwater and encourages the resiliency of local pollinator populations. Registration This event is free, but advanced registration is required! Before the event, but after you have registered, we will email you to confirm your attendance and provide more detailed information.
